Methodology

How lookup records are built.

Each known record separates sourced facts from practical troubleshooting interpretation. We prefer Microsoft Learn, Microsoft Support, Windows release history, and other first-party product documentation.

Source hierarchy

  1. Microsoft product documentation and release records.
  2. Microsoft-hosted support or community material when first-party documentation does not identify the exact code.
  3. Operational interpretation that tells an administrator what evidence to collect next.

Freshness and limits

Windows servicing data changes frequently. Build pages are historical records for the build shown; they do not claim that the newest entry in this dataset is the newest Windows release. Follow the linked Microsoft update history for current servicing status.

Corrections

Do not treat a code alone as a root cause. Context, CSP URI, command, scope, adjacent events, and service health can change the diagnosis.
